I don't know you, but I've always related to you whenever I've listened to you on Dopey or read your Ask Erin entries. Lately I've thought about you and wondered how you were doing. I'm glad you're hanging in there. That's how I manage to feel ok despite everything, I take comfort in the thought that other people are struggling too but keep going on. We are not alone. We are seen. We are loved, even by strangers.
Thank you for your post, it's all too relatable. I'm sorry you're in it, but glad you've got people in your corner, and please know that YOU ARE BENEFICIAL, this (semi-) stranger on the internet absafuckinglutely knows it. 🩷
It passes. Sometimes, it feels like it will never pass, and the hardest thing in the world is just to wait. I don't know about you, but my mind is a trickster, it will put a new face on an old issue so that I feel like this isn't the same, but underneath, it always is. I'm glad it's easing a little for you, just some space and breath can be everything.

I can completely relate on so many levels. After nearly six years of recovery I still feel like I am often on a precipice of self-destruction. And it doesn’t even have to take something as catastrophic as the fall of democracy to do it, although that certainly has not helped.
Thank you for being brave enough to admit what many of us have trouble articulating.

Hugs ❤️ I don’t know if it gets easier but I have definitely continued to get better at handling it, at reaching for tools.
