My Wife's Constant Worry Is Pushing Me Away
Our marriage is fine otherwise, but this nagging about problems that might possibly happen makes me want to run away from her.

Q.
Hi Erin,
I have a worrisome spouse.
My wife needs to have a contingency plan for anything that can go wrong.
As a practical matter, this leads to her constantly nagging me about where I set a coffee cup, how much milk I pour onto my cereal, where I set down a small object, and so forth. She is always concerned that my actions will lead to the breakage or loss of an object.
When she does this, I feel like I'm being berated.
It feels like she thinks that I can't be trusted. It makes me feel stupid and clumsy.
Our marriage is fine otherwise, but this nagging about problems that might possibly happen makes me want to run away from her.
How do I fix this?
